Sailor Moon S' fighter is Arc System Works' first game and it shows with how borderline broken it is. It's a more complex Final Fight with a dash and with dozens of enemies at a time. They do all the same thing of exploding everyone on the screen but being able to just trigger them puts it really high. What puts this on S is how the attack animations are represented, using a super move displays frames both from the anime and manga-only moves like Flower Hurricane.
S - The Arcade beat em up looks beautiful and plays wonderfully.

The PC Engine visual novel is effectively a choose your own adventure movie where you get to pick your own Senshi to contribute to an overarching story. Fuwa Fuwa Panic 2 is a faster, but broken version of the original where playing Sailor Star Healer kills the enemy A.IĪ - Sailor Moon R on the SNES is very solid to play, the attack animations and projectile attacks represent everyone better and the enemies aren't just jobbers anymore, they're annoying just like in the anime which is perfect. I'm not a hyper big fan of puzzlers which is why it's lower than the beat em ups though they are able to be B or even A in my mind if i get to working those brain muscles.ī - Both the SNES and Genesis/MD beat em ups of the Dark Kingdom arc are fairly mediocre with only the projectile attacks and Jupiter being well represented from the anime (Since Jupiter is known to beat dudes up).
Fuwa Fuwa panic is even more fun and beautiful, but darn, it's tough to beat. Kurukkurin is really fun and thematically appropriate since it's a treasure hunt for the talismans. The SuperS fighter is just a worse version of S with a broken Saturn and uglier sounds.Ĭ - Sailor Moon R on the gameboy is fairly ambitious, trying to cram all the important plot stuff of R into one small cartridge, it plays like Megaman. The puzzle game was Sailor Moon themed, but it didn't distinguish itself enough from other click block puzzlers.
